Certification for Consumer Products Being Sold in the Saudi Market
The Saudi Product Safety Programme (SABER) is an initiative implemented by the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO) to support the Vision 2030 Programme. It aims to regulate and monitor the importation and sale of specific products in the Saudi market to ensure their compliance with safety and quality standards.
All shipments passing through Customs into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must be accompanied by a Shipment Certificate of Conformity.
The Shipment Certificate of Conformity will be checked by Saudi Customs at the port of entry. Any shipment arriving without a Shipment Certificate of Conformity will be refused entry into the Kingdom.
About SABER and what it involves
SABER includes a two-stage certification process Product Certification and Shipment Certification of Regulated Products which are exported to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and sold within the Kingdom.
TUV Certs having a official business with SASO approved Certification Body (ASTC Plus) for products exported from all geographical regions, and accredited to issue both Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC) and Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC).
Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC)
A Shipment Certificate is required for each and every shipment entering the Kingdom. The certificate declares that all products within the consignment are either non-regulated (low risk products), or have been approved by a SASO-notified Certification.
