IRAQ COC PROGRAM

 

Introduction

A new requirement from Iraq is the Iraq Certificate of Conformity (COC) which is a requirement for nearly 1,000 products in different product categories. These products before entering the Iraqi market needs to have CoC awarded to ensure a hassle free export. We can provide you IRAQ CoC for all your products / exports consignments. This is known as Pre-Importation Inspection, Testing & Certification Program of Goods to Iraq (ICIGI). This Certificate of Conformity is a necessary document to import goods into Iraq and to clear goods through Customs.

With a growing demand for imported goods in Iraq, exporters shall utilize the service provided by TUV CERTS. The country imported $45 billion worth of goods in 2018 and this number is expected to grow in coming years as the country generates wealth from foreign exports and continues its ongoing reconstruction plans.

Objectives

The ICIGI program has been launched by COSQC, the supreme standardization body in Iraq with the ultimate aim of protecting the consumers, producers, environment, public safety and national economy by ensuring the availability of standard products and restricting the importation of defective, fake or poor quality products.
